Troubleshooting should follow the product from bulk feed through distribution, weighing, discharge and the packing machine. Changing several settings at once can hide the real cause and make the result difficult to reproduce.

Start with evidence

Record the symptom, time, product and machine state before changing settings.

Identify whether the issue is constant, intermittent, linked to refill, linked to one product batch or triggered by the downstream packer. Save the recipe and current settings before making a controlled change.

Product path

Inspect bulk feed, dispersion, feed trays, hoppers, discharge and the pack opening for starvation, build-up or blockage.

Weight data

Review individual pack weights, mean, spread, rejects and trends by time rather than one or two readings.

Line states

Check whether the weigher is waiting for product, waiting for the packer or repeatedly recovering from a fault.

Controlled adjustments

Change one relevant factor, run enough cycles to see the effect and record the result. Keep a known-good recipe and avoid compensating for a mechanical feed or packer problem with unrelated weighing settings.

When to stop and escalate

Stop if safe access, guarding, electrical integrity, compressed air, structural support or hazardous product control is in doubt. Maintenance should follow safe isolation procedures and competent site rules.

Why are weights stable at first and worse later?

Product build-up, refill behaviour, temperature, batch variation or changing product level may only appear during a sustained run.

Why is the weigher waiting?

It may be waiting for bulk product, a valid combination, a pack-ready signal or downstream clearance. Cycle-state evidence is needed.

Should vibration be increased when output is low?

Not automatically. Higher vibration can create larger portions or product damage. First identify where the cycle is waiting.

What should be sent for remote diagnosis?

Send machine identification, product and target, recipe, alarms, recent changes, weight data, photographs or video and the cycle stage where the issue occurs.
